Spatio Aquarum

Spatio Aquarum, 2019

Recycled fishing net, hand-tied fly fishing lures, resin, light bulb parts, video

Nets are stretched overhead inside a round, silo-like chamber. Lit resin bulbs hang down into the space and video plays through an opening in the ceiling, so viewers stand inside the work. From the wall text: curiosity is humankind's best trait, and pulling strange creatures from the depths of the ocean may have inspired our ancestors to look for other worlds, real and imagined, beyond our planetary confines.
